California

Two weeks ago I got on a plane for the first time. Before my trip was completely over I went through three lay overs, five take offs, and five landings. One of those landings was not very successful. I did not take on this adventure alone. My companion was my sister's husband. We were going to California to meet up with my sister for the weekend while she was on a business trip. We left St. Louis at 6 a.m. on a Friday and were headed for Dallas, Texas. The airport in Texas was amazing. There were so many shops and busy people running everywhere. Next we found ourselves on the way to our vacations spot...CALIFORNIA. We were going to Orange County. I did not get to see that much of that airport but what I did get to see looked very ritzy. My sister picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel, while she went back to work for a few hours. So Toby, my brother in-law, and I began to wander around the Hyat and then we headed for the beach. The waves were the largest waves I have ever seen. As we got closer to the pier we saw tents and heard and announcer and realized that there was a surfing competition going on. We spent the night eating with my sister's work friends and walking up and down the main strip of shops. Saturday we went to HOLLYWOOD. It was pretty neat. The streets were filled with people dressed up as famous people. The Michael Jackson look alike was creepy good. I also saw an Edward Cullen there!!! So sweet! After Hollywood we went and drove through Beverly Hills. It was a very pretty place. The shops around it were so nice looking. Sunday we woke up bright and early to head to Sea World. It was amazing. Shamu is so huge!! After seeing the animals at Sea World we headed for Downtown Disney. It was a fun place too. We went so I could pick up some cool souveniers for my sister and boyfriend. I do have to admite I got them some good stuff. Finally on Monday at 6 a.m. again it was time to head home. Well actually we were headed for Houston, Texas. After Housten we went to Chicago. In Chicago I experienced my fisrt delay. It sucked...but finally around 11 a.m. I was in my own bed. I don't do many adventurous things like that but i'm glad I went. It was an experience I will never forget.

(SCC soccer banquet 09)
Happy Thanksgiving!! (more importantly happy black Friday). Today I sat around and babysat my little nephew all day! He is so cute!

After babysitting I went shopping with my mom. I think I have reached that age where you finally appreciate your mom so much more than when you were younger. I think when you are a teenageer and in middle school you argue with your parents a lot especially your mom. Lately I just appreciate hanging out with her so much more. Tonight we shopped just the two of us. It was nice. Its not even like I got anything.

I also have been spending a LOT of time with my grandma lately. I feel good after i hang out with her. I would hate to live all alone. Plus I get to help her out around the house a lot and i'm glad to do thinkgs for her. Although I am very peculiar about when I want to help her if she asks me or tells me I usually don't do it. However, if I offer I will work around her house all day (which i have done 2 this week).

College Life

It's Sunday morning and I am getting ready for work. It has been a pretty stressful week. I had tons off assignments due and some tests that make me nervous. I worked a lot too!! I worked Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and now a double today. Come visit me sometime at Wentzville Applebees!! If you come on a Thursday at 9 you can enjoy our karaoke night! If you get up there and sing and are the best one you may even win something. We also had our soccer banquet on Friday. I'm going to miss those girls. I'll post pictures eventually. I take pictures all the time, and out of all the days for my camera to die, it chose our banquet. So I'll have to get pictures from my teammates to put on here. I just looked up my grade on my psychology test that I had Friday and I got an A :D!! If something happened to me and I couldn't go to class for the rest of the semester I would still get a B in that class. If you have to take intro. to psychology I highly recommend Lisa Stoner. She is hilarious and during class she tells a lot of stories about her experiences while working at clinics and they really help you understand the material and they usually give you a good laugh. I went to the art museum yesterday before work because I have a four page paper due next Monday in Art appreciation. I really have begun to enjoy certain aspects of that class such as learning about architecture. Now just driving in my car I notice things on building that have deeper meaning that I learned in my art class. Well I'll be posting again soon but for now I have to go to work. Bye guys.

This was the beginning of my college experience. These are my teammates from SCC's women's soccer team. We had a great season. We ended 8-6-1. If you decide to continue to follow my blog I am sure you will be reading a lot more about my teammates.
